How do I make Live Journal products with MOO?
It's pretty simple, but we have to start with one quick question:

What do you want to make?

Once you've decided, click the appropriate button, and log in with your LiveJournal username on the page that follows.

Making photo products with LiveJournal and MOO
Before you start making your products, there are a few things you need to remember:

You must make the galleries you want to print from public: this means your top level galleries, as well as the ones lower down. You can manage your galleries at the following url: http://pics.livejournal.com/manage/gals

You must make your images within the galleries public: A quick way to check if we're likely to be able to see your images is to go to your public images page, which can be found at:

pics.livejournal.com/[username]

(Insert your own username at the end of the url). If you can see images there, then MOO can see them too. If there's nothing available there, MOO isn't able to see them either.

You must keep your images in the same place, with the same settings, until you receive your printed cards: There is a time delay between you making your products on the MOO site, and MOO printing them. We will need access to your images when we print, and if the settings have changed and the cards have been switched to private, we're unable to retrieve them, so your cards will come out blank. Please don't forget this - it is important.

When all of this is set up correctly, and you've logged in on the MOO site, you'll be able to access your images, and select the ones you want. Simply drag them down into the work area. When you're happy with your choices, click 'next step' and move on to crop the images. It should be plain sailing from there.

Making Text MiniCards
If youre making Text MiniCards, the first thing you'll see is a box to type your text in. Enter your text, click Design this card and use the colours, fonts and other tools to style the card the way youd like it. Once youre happy, click Save and make another and either repeat the process, or move on to the next step. If you make card and decide you don't like it, don't panic, you can click the link under the thumbnail to remove it from your pack.
Can you access my private photos?
No, MOO can't access your private photos, as it's assumed they're not for sharing. You have to make the galleries and images within the galleries public, for MOO to be able to access them.
I've got a hyphen in my name, and MOO wont let me log in!
This is a bit of an odd one. Your name might follow this format when it's written in a post:
My_name
and this format in your url:
My-name.livejournal.com
When you log in to MOO, you need to use the My_name version - the version with the underscore.
I've customised my gallery. It's public, but I can't see my images on MOO. What's going on?
We're really sorry about this - it's an odd quirk. When galleries are customised the code is jiggled around bit, (well... customised, actually) in a different way for every person. This confuses our system, as we can't find what it is we're looking for.

Imagine walking into someone elses house - you know they have the same kind of stuff you have, but where on earth is it? Where's the sugar? It's that kind of thing.

We know this is really frustrating, and we are looking into it.

I just made a brand new set of photos on LiveJournal, they're all public, and I've done everything you said, and I still can't see them!
Don't panic, there's a short delay between you making a public gallery, and us being able to access them. It takes a little while for LiveJournal to update and then pass the message on to MOO. Put the kettle on, grab a quick cup of tea and try again in about 5 minutes. You should be able to see your images then.
Can I make a mix pack of text and photo cards?
No, not right now.
Why do I need to log in to make text cards? Youre not accessing anything, are you?
The reverse of the cards allows you to add a smaller icon or image. We ask you to log in to give you the choice of adding one of your own user pics, instead of one of ours - just in case you wanted to make it a bit more personal. Theres nothing sinister going on, we promise.

Still not sure? Well, not to worry, use our account to make your cards, we dont mind.

Can I design my Text MiniCards in other languages and character sets?
You'll find that on the reverse side of your cards, MOO supports all the given character sets in the Unicode Specifications. That means everything from the full European set to African, Indic and Asian scripts.

However, on the front side, which uses more 'Fancy' fonts, some characters might not be supported.

We've tried to choose fonts with as many characters as possible - so try a few different ones before you make your final choice. Typedesigners are a funny bunch, and not all of them design fonts with complete character sets, or the same character sets.

Can I use my friend's pictures on my stuff? They're much nicer than mine!
No, you cant sorry about that. If theyre nice people, the kind who like to share, then they might let you upload their pictures to your account, but youll need to ask them first.
I love Live Journal, but I don't want their logos all over my cards. What do I do?
Just uncheck the box that says Add LiveJournal logo and its gone.

MOO is based in London, England, where we carefully print and hand-pack everything for global delivery.
